Our Hemisphere team are curious and creative. We love working with our clients, partners and associates to win heads and hearts. Meet the team behind the magic.

Who are you?

Ko Mauao te maunga e rū nei taku ngākau.
Ko Arkengarthdale te riu.
Ko Arkle te awa.
Nō te rohe o te whenua o Ioka ahau.
Ko Tim Antric ahau.

I’m Tim; Dr Tim if I’m feeling flash. I’m the Kaiarataki Managing Director at Hemisphere.

What’s your story?

My passion has always been mahi that creates lasting change. Throughout my career, I've been privileged to work with communities and organisations across Aotearoa, bringing together evidence-based approaches with cultural wisdom to drive transformation.

Hemisphere represents the culmination of this journey — a place where analytical rigour meets creative inspiration, where cultural understanding shapes strategy, and where genuine whanaungatanga guides everything we do.

Leading our team into 2025, I'm excited by how we're reshaping what an agency can be. Through Te Huihui o Te Kakau and our partnerships with Big River Creative, The PR Company and others, we're demonstrating the power of collaborative leadership and authentic engagement.

What did you want to do when you were small?

I always struggled with balancing my love of science with my interest in people. At the age of six, I decided school was pointless – I'd already mastered reading, after all. I can still remember being dragged against my will! It took me years to find the joy in education – weaving together science and art to learn about health promotion, communication, marketing, and community development. And now I bring all of that together every day.

When did you join Hemisphere?

I first joined Hemisphere (or GSL Network as it was back then) in 2008, working as an account director on social change programmes. After various roles including strategic planner, digital leader, and general manager — along with time as a freelancer— I was invited back in 2021 to lead the reshaping of the agency. The result is Hemisphere, where we combine curiosity and creativity to create meaningful change.

What do you do at Hemisphere?

As Kaiarataki, I guide our team in creating work that matters. We've transformed Hemisphere into an agency that truly embodies ambidextrous thinking — bringing together data and creativity, logic and emotion, evidence and intuition.

A significant part of my role focuses on weaving connections (whakawhanaungatanga) and building genuine partnerships, particularly with Māori, Pasifika and Asian communities. This relationship-centred approach defines how we work and what we achieve together.

What is your superpower?

Bringing people together. I've been fortunate to work across many different sectors, connecting with amazing people along the way. I love creating spaces where different perspectives and skills can come together to create something extraordinary.

What are you passionate about in your work?

I'm passionate about finding new approaches to complex challenges. Marketing has this incredible power to bring different people, skills and ideas together to create meaningful change. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge advocate for social marketing —I did my PhD in it after all. It's a complex and fascinating field that has much to teach the commercial world.

What do you do outside of Hemisphere life?

Get back to Mount Maunganui whenever I can. Mauao and the beach feed my spirit, and the people of Tauranga Moana keep me grounded. Between regular climbs up the Mount and my weekly Pilates sessions, my legs are constantly reminding me about the importance of balance!
